These type of lift trucks are by far the most common in the warehouse industry. They are electric, diesel, and propane powered. There are 3- and 4- wheel models. We discuss the key features of this truck, like being counter balanced, having a wide swinging rear end, loading and unloading trailers, moving pallets from loading docks to storage areas and any additional information relative to the location or special needs of your particular situation.
Narrow Aisle Reach and Order Picker lift trucks are mostly for indoor use only and can move is very narrow aisles, thus allowing more storage space in the same warehouse footprint. Pallet jacks are great for deliveries and unloading tractor trailers. Tuggers are commonly used for pulling rather than lifting loads such as airport tuggers handling baggage. All are very quiet and can be sensitive to operate. More "hands on" training is beneficial.
Featuring big Tractor-style tires, these rugged lift trucks can handle even the most challenging terrain. Available in two-wheel of four wheel drive, they may be equipped with a traditional straight mast or a telescoping mast for greater reach. They are often used at lumber yards and construction sites. These forklifts require additional training with more specific videos and hands-on training.
Often considered to be in a class by themselves are Scissor lifts. The scissor Lift is used on more level surfaces and lifts a man straight up and down in a basket. They are specialized with specific videos and hands-on training.
